find out where your local radar unit cop is set up at and run by him doin a 100 if he pulls you over and says you were speeding and arrest you then your speedometer might be accurate,

true story I thought I had a spedometer problem in my truck when I was cop, so I had my buddy run me and clock me on his radar appears that my speedometer reads 6 miles to fast.

HEY...

Does THIS work on the 05 ???

http://www.wishop.com/automobiles/HE...iagnostics.htm

IF it does, you could use that to get the digital speed and compare it with your GPS Spped.

WHAT.. nobody has a Police Friend that can radar them on some parking lot to get the reads?

Cool link!

At lunch I will give it a try on my '05. If it still works I will compare the results to the GPS and let everyone know the results.

Ok for all of you IMPATIENT folks awainting the answer to this one, the envelope please..........

NOPE!

In fact nothing happened at all. I tried it several times and even some variations to see if they have just changed the activation procedures. No go!

Thus it does not work on my '05 GT. However, I don't have the IUP and I am wondering if it may work on vehicles with it installed.

Any willing to try this one?

cmenders:
I am thinking you do have to have the IUP, which includes the full version of the Information System.

Anyone have the IUP with Info System they could try that procedure on?

I work at a Ford garage and have had to do some ABS diagnostics. When looking at wheel speed at individual sensors and the VSS the speedometer is purposely a mile or two faster, so there's no liability.
