just time a mile to check speedometer, I got to do that all time on trains I run.
times to a Mile:
1 min 12 sec is 50 mph
1 min 6 sec is 55 mph
1 min is 60 mph
51 sec is 70 mph
45 sec is 80 mph
40 sec is 90 mph
36 sec is 100 mph
33 sec is 110 mph
30 sec is 120 mph
25 sec your insane.

I had the same thought about speedometer, I ran it a few time past one of those speed check meters, and it was right on. It doesn't seem like your doing 80 mph, but you are doing 80 mph.[sm=gears.gif]

Funny, I was thinking the same thing too, Its just to easy to get into the high 80s/90s
you never know it until you glance at the speedo...
If I set the cruise I feel like I'm just crawling

I could not believe it either. This is an awsome car!

The second day I had the car I bought a Passport 8500/x50 and it has saved me many times. Normal driving I try and stay under 80mph but the markers on the speedo are so small. You don't have very much play.

Your Welcome KandyMan...

Bummer though... that would have been a handy function.

Perhaps that function is still there, we just need a gamer hacker to figure out the correct combination of button pushing to initiate it.

Anyone work in a Ford Garage can see what the book says about obtainint diagnostics from the information center?

There was a post a few weeks ago with a "gamer" button sequence hack but it only worked on vehicles with the IUP. Since I don't have the IUP it did not help me.

If you have a Diablo Predator though you can get access to the info via the Predators on screen diagnostics. I have done this and the accuracy was pretty close.

I admit it does feel like you are going slower that what the speedo says in this Mustang however, of course there is going to be a large difference b/w a wrangler and the mustang. The ride hight is much different, and the suspension and aerodynamics are drastically different etc. I drove my girlfriend's Wrangler a couple of weeks ago and thought I was doing about 90 when I was doing 55. I love the car for off roading but on the highway there is extremely loud wind noise. This gives you the idea that you are going faster.
