Any paint on the OE plastic grill will get chipped quickly from road debrisand look horrible.
You can't avoid paint chips. Heed to the warning.

true true..ill probally paint behind it..i just want a complete black out look
That would be pretty cool. I definitely like the mean look of the completely blacked out 'Stangs. Definitely an attention grabber.

Ditch the white strip along the side, doesn't go at all with that mean blacked out look.

What did you do to get your pony black on your grille? I've been looking for a replacement grille that looks stock minus the pony, but I've also thought about making it black like yours. Did you buy a replacement or just paint it?

i surrounded the pony with tape and newspaper and then just spray painted with a low gloss spray paint, i would recommend a clear coat on top too.
