X-plan qualifier on title?
Hi everybody!
I'm trying to order a 2005 GT using the x-plan through my father, and the dealership is telling me that he needs to be on the title for me to get the x-plan price. Would rather just have the title in my name. Has anyone else had to do this? Trying to figure out if the dealer is blowing smoke or not. I know I didn't have to do that when I got x-plan for my Mazda 6 two years ago....
Thanks folks,
B

RE: X-plan qualifier on title?
Thanks for the reply. That's what I read too, so I think I'll be OK (might have to be a bit pushy). I was just wondering if anyone else had been told this when using someone else's PIN. I think they're trying to hassle me into paying MSRP.
(edit) Just read hawgman's post, didn't realize about it having to be transfered. Anybody know how exactly that works?

You have to supply your father with your personal info ( address, social security number ) and he needs to contact whoever he got his PIN through.
In the case of my employer, I can do it all on line at the same web site that I originally applied for the PIN. It is pretty basic and shouldn't take more than a couple of minutes.
