Just burn a CD with some junk file of about 50mb or more (NOT an mp3 or any other kind of file the d3 can play) and a folder called IMAGES (i think...) and then load it into the deck and go to the wallpaper/SS options in the unit, load from disc, and youre off... search on avic411.com for more info on customizing the d3

Yes that is everything you need for a Mustang install ... except for the 5V resistor MOD if you have a Shaker 500 to prevent the SUB POP. The GPS is built into the Unit .. not an option so yes ... full GPS is included.

If you want Sirius you need to buy the Sirius adapter .. extra $$$

Sweet setup.
how do you get the mustang and stuff to come up .. i just had mine installed yesterday?

No the ipod adapter is another $50, but it has a usb port in the rear so you can just use an ipod dock connector to plug into that (about $15) or do like i plan on and just hook up a hard drive to the usb and have all the music/movies you want on tap.

I see the price is down to $449.00 If you plug in the USB dock connector do you have the ability to control the ipod from the stereo?

I dont think so, the guy at circuit city said yes but im doubtful since jvc makes an adapter. i would think you would only be able to listen to it but would have to control it from the ipod its self. Im still waiting on the wiring harness to install it so im not 100% on that yet.

Where do you see that? I actuall paid $699 on sunday, then the price dropped to $499 yesterday so i went back in and they refunded me the extra $200, if its dropped even lower i'll go back and get another $50 refunded. If they keep this up theyre actually gonna be paying me to have this head unit, lol.
