shaky wheels??? HELP???
i got new wheels a couple weeks ago and took them to the goodyear shop near my house to get them installed. (i took them there cause i got my tire pressure sensors switched over) however now whenever i hit cruising speed my steering wheel is all messed up. Is it the wheel alignment or balance? or a loose lug?
they probably didn't rebalance the wheels. Did they come with wheel weights on them? On both sides? Even the best wheels will require some balancing.
Make sure they didn't charge you!

Might need road force balanced, or even worse, maybe one of your rims is bent or the tire is faulty. Not to scare you into thinking worst case scenario....I've had to road force balance my wheels...and the most recent time I got vibration, I found out one of my rims is bent.
I had the same problem when I got my new wheels they balanced them and when I drove on the freeway I got alot of steering vibration, they had to balance the wheels from the back side of the wheels instead of the front side, once they balanced from the back side of the wheels the vibrartion went away and now its a smooth ride.

Might be the retaining clip on the wheel studs. You need to remove these to make the rim sit flush against the hub.
