3:55 or 3:73?
I'm up in the air, but leaning toward the 3:73, there are 3:11 installed now. The Ford dealership said they would install OEM gears, and warrenty all the work, and any problems which may occur at the tune of $1100. That sounds very high to me, any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

Sounds a bit high cost wise, I would to with the 3:73's, I had the 3:55's before changing to the 4:10's and although you'll feel a difference with the 3:55's I'm sure you'll still want more than that.

You have 3.31....
And 3.55 is not a good choice, most people (like me) try to change up from 3.55
I think 3.73 is a good choice to get mileage and performance but most people will say its not worth it and to go to 4.10
I say 3.90, but only Motive makes 3.90 and most people say they whine. I disagree. I think its all about who the installer is.
Anyways, you should be able to get gears for $200ish and, at the most, install for $500. Total $700. People get installs from as low as $200. Here in expensive arizona, a fair price is $400.
Add a tune from an online tuner, assuming you have a handheld tuner, and I dont thin gears should cost over $800 max, more like $700.

I wasn't honestly 100% sure what the car had for gears, I know that they weren't 3:55 or 3:73, because those were options I didn't initially get. I called Tasca Ford Performance. the manager of the performance center said they were 3:11, that's all the info I have. The only way to tell for sure is to jack up the rearend and observe the wheel and drive shaft rotaion. That's all I have for info.

Go lay down behind your car and look at the rearend cover, there will be a tag hanging off the right side and stamped on it will be your gear size. Takes 30 seconds and no jacking up of the car is neccessary ...
