I was recently in a 2007 mustang rental while my 2006 GT was being repaired. I noticed that when you unlocked the rental car w/ the keyless transmitter, the headlights came on for a minute or so. My 2006 GT only blinks the parking lights when doing the same. Question is, does anyone know of a code that will allow my GT lights to stay on or is that just a 2007 option?? Live in the country and would love to be able to see when I'm going to the car...Thanks for any help.

 

It's called "Perimeter Lighting" and is NOT available on 05-06. I looked in the 05-06 manuals
and I didn't see the feature, but I do see it in my 07 manual. Here's a screenshot of the instructions
on how to enable/disable the feature. I doubt it'll work..but who knows. It works on the 07 for sure
because I did it.

Thanks GS, I just tried it and unfortunately didn't work. I figured it was an 07 option since I couldn't find it in my manual either. I appreciate your help though. New to this site and great to see other Stang-lovers such as myself. Take Care, Trey

 

I have an 07 and it used to do it with my factory key fob. Ever since I had the clifford alarm installed, that feature no longer works with the alarm remote but still does with the factory remote. I dont know if there is a way to make it work with the alarm.

 

does this also work with the 2005 mustang? i just got my car back form the shop and when i lock it the lights no longer flash....just nothing. and on the second click is the two horn honks like something is open, but nothing is open...i want to see my sequentials flash when i lock it!!!!

 

My sequential flash when I lock my 07 but the flash pulse
is not long enough to flash all three lights, only the first two.
