Default skip while accelerating

I've got a 2006 GT Conv w/ about 4k miles. Have had a few incidents where the engine "skips" pretty hard while accelerating (ie. trying to beat a red light). It almost felt like I had water in the gas or a misfire....took it to dealer, and got the "we can't make it do it" reply...
Any suggestions?

If it was after a long drive it may be the fuel pump, there is a tsb for it, there are tsb's listed here, try the search.

Don't try to beat red lights...

Seriously though, did thay happen on the same tank of gas... or multiple tanks?

It's happened on multiple tanks and different situations.
1. was turning right at a stop light w/ about a 1/4 tank left
2.accelerating to get through intersection
3. turning left from stand still

situation 2 happened w/ I punched it, the others were just moderate take-offs

Hmm... weird.

I'm alittle confused when you say it 'skips'... Does it bog down, rev up, feel like the clutch is slipping... etc..

hits passing gear w/ engine rev'd, then skips/chugs like air or water was in the fuel line. then takes off again. hope there weren't any witnesses...

are you auto or manual? it could be bogging down due to you not giving it enough gas when easing off the clutch(if you were manual)
