Umm...what?

Umm...what?
So, I just called the local Ford dealership to get a quote for installing a set of lowering springs and shocks and struts and they said they didn't want to "deal with it" and wouldn't install them. Anyone experience this before? What are my other options as I don't have anywhere near the tools to do the install on my own.

Actually, I'm not too surprised. They don't want to fool with aftermarket, non-ford parts in case there is a warranty-fitment issue. No doubt their work is good, but they are just covering there own arsses.

Yeah if it is not a ford part, and usually from the factory when you get the car they won't touch it. One time they wouldn't even balance my wheels cause they were aftermarket. O well!

When it comes to aftermarket mods, its up to the dealer. The one I worked at would not touch any aftermarket work and the were an SVT dealer. The are a good dealer, I still take my cars there for warranty work.
The big Ford dealerin the next townruns special promos on installing gears, springs, GT bumpers on V6s etc.
When Iworked there, our service managers mentalityabout aftermarket was that aftermarket stuff can cause problems and if that happens we would be obligate to own the problem.
A goodprivate shop is the way to go IMO.
