Pro50 or Steeda shifter instructions......need help
Does anyone with a PRO50 or Steeda shifter have a copy of their instuctions? I installedmy Pro50last week. But cause I was the 2nd or 3rd owner I didn't get instrucs with my kit.
The problem I have is I want to sell my B&M shifter. But realized that I'm using the B&M nut that holds the shift rod "from trans" to the bottom of the shifting arm. That might explain part of my difficulty during the install. For some reason I thought the nut was OEM.
Since I don't have instrucs, I don't know how PRO50 designed that shift rod to be connected. Since Pro50 and Steeda are nearly the same, can anyone with instructs send me a copy or describe to me how the rod it supposed to attach, meaning with which nut, OEM or one supplied by the shifter company.
Thanks
Just realized another question, for anyone with either shifter, was their brass bushings in the kit that the threaded part of the shift rod is supposed to fit through? I have my OEM bushings & nut, wonder if that's what I was supposed to use.

Thanks warmachine. Assuming the steeda is the same here is what I think is wrong, just missing a part is my problem. Here is a piece from Steeda's instrucs. Can anyone confirm this is how it should be from Pro50?

My Steeda has the U-bracket, but I've seen pictures where it doesn't. Maybe it's just a new thing. I think this picture shows two metal bushings instead of the U-bracket.

Yeah don't know either. I emailed PRO50 for instrucs. Its working right now, but threaded arm is sticking out quite a bit. I just thought that's how its supposed to be. When I put the brass bushings in the shift rod wouldn't fit all the way through that either. But then again those may not be the correct bushings either.
I'll hopefully find out tomorrow.
Thanks for the info.

Here's a Pro 5.0 pic if this helps.
If the part on your shifter where the bolt goes through (i.e., the part of the Steeda where the U-bracket is) does not have an offset, I'd say it is missing something. Notice the offset on that U-bracket....thicker on one side.

Then its definately missing a pieice. Cause even if the shift rod slides though, There would be extra space coming out the other side. So much for my great deal on the shifter.
I just hope PRO50 sells the parts individually.
