update..

just presented the fact that different axle backs compared to stock sound the same at idle, just different tones (deeper, etc.)..

i also showed him two clips of stock with stock H and stock wtih offroad h and showed that the idle was very similar.. his thing with removing the cats was that it wasnt good for the enviroment .. (fck that) .. and that i could get a fine..



but heres a main question.. is it nesisarily ILLEGAL to have no cats, if its not THAT loud, i mean.. they wont really know by the sound as long as they dont smell my exhaust fumes..


any tips on winning this case wiht my parents would be awesome..

There is quite a difference in the exhaust smell once you take the cats off. Your state emission laws would be your best choice to look up and see emission inspections, etc. most states have an exemption for new cars for x many years. I've heard the o/r h with stock mufflers in person and it does sound good compared to stock. Deeper and a little louder.

the install is easy, dont tell them

the idle is more throaty
you really cant tell if its stock or not untill you get on it

It feels faster on the big end on the butt dyno

and my mpg went up 1 or 2 mph when I removed the cats.

my area has no emmission testing

but you will need either a tuner or some "mil eliminators" to prevent your check engine

on another note how the heck are all these young kids paying for these V8 mustangs?
I cant Imagine the Insurance costs!

my insurance is 1600/6 mo.

and about the tune.. i got a dyno tune from VMP in june last year, and when i was rollin around town for a weekend with nothing but straight headers, it never threw a code.. but it did smell like a dump truck.. or big diesel

... since we dont have any emission testing or anything liek that here. (florida).. do you think that i will be fine?.. i mean i have illegal tint, and never get pulled over for it, even when i have gotten pulled over for other things, they dont say **** about it.. and everyone i know runnign no cats, has never had any problems with it..
