Does anyone know if the factory warranty would cover the paint on stereo buttons rubbing off? I only have 18,000 miles on it and didnt expect this kind of wear to happen that fast, so if anyone has any experience, i would appreciate it.

 

That happend to me around 30K miles too. But my factory warranty was up and I had the extended warranty. I took it in and they replaced it...with a new Shaker 500 that skips a lot and Slot 1 didn't work [:@] But the buttons were new nonetheless. They should replace it for you no problem...but it will be replaced with a refurbished one, not a brand new one from factory. I installed a new head unit now from JVC. The Shaker is sitting in my garage

 

yea its covered... it happened to me the paint wore off on the seek button.
