mine vibrates at around 80km/h, it doesn't vibrate at more or less though. the fact that you all have that "vibration" point makes me not so weary.

Driveshaft. I had the same harmonic vibration at 70 mph. Took them 4 driveshafts to finally get one that didn't do it. I actually drove a couple other stangs on the dealer lot and they all did it to some degree. Thing is, mine didn't do it until they messed with the driveshaftwhen they "fixed" my gears. So I wouldn't accept the vibration since I didn't have it before.

So how do I convince the dealer that they need to look at the driveshaft? This isn't going to be any fun!

I just re-read your posts. I could be wrong, but I believe that a driveshaft vibration is speed dependant, not RPM dependant. if you switch off OD and it changes, then I'm pretty sure it's NOT the driveshaft. Maybe someone can verify that.

Yea my drive shaft would happen between 35-40 mph. It would shake the car. Took it to dealer and they replaced drive shaft. Although they had it for a week becuase of 1 wrong drive shaft order and 2 wrong coupler order. Got a free rental for that one.

I have this as well around 70. I am convinced it ist the driveshaft, the dealer is not, although they have balance and aligned everything in the car, replaced tires, etc and finally even thought there was no change to it whatsoever told me they "didn't feel it anymore" haha. As soon as it gets warmer here i am going to rotate my driveshaft and see if I can't get it in phase myself.

Okay, read up on this some more. Do this:

- Determine what rpm the vibration is most pronounced at while in OD.
- Turn off overdrive, and drive the car at the same engine rpm where the vibration was most pronounced while on OD.

If there is still a vibration at same engine rpm with OD off, it's not the driveshaft (it's spinning at different rates).
If there is no vibration at same rpm with OD off, it may be driveshaft related.

I'm going to experiment with it this weekend.

Thanks for the advice!

OK, I'm about 90% convinced this is speed related. At 70ish, the RPM's are 2100 and I feel it. I can turn the O/D off, increasing the RPM's and maintain the same speed and I still feel it. So to me, that means it's speed related, right?
