Well since I traded my very nicely modded 2000 Eclipse Gt. I would say get the Mustang Gt. The power is awesome. Ya you lose the sunroof and nicer speaker set up the Eclipse has, and the hatchback. But you get real power, and the rear wheel drive is awesome. In my Eclipse I was getting about 17 mpg premium, racing and pushing the engine as hard as I could. In my mustang I get 10-11 mpg unleaded. So the gas mileage sucks but you get were you want to go alot faster. In my Eclipse I ran a best 1/4 mile 16.1, in my Mustang 13.8 both in the hot summertime.

Can you tell me what job to get where I can afford a PORSCHE and not have to be intelligent enough to spell NEIGHBOR or HANDLING correctly? It will help me decide my major when I go to college in two years. Back on topic. It would take an Eclipse with full bolt ons to kill a stock Mustang from and a dig and a supercharged Eclipse to kill a decently modded Mustang. As far as I can tell they haven't gotten one of those in the 12's yet.

Mustang of course. But you're asking a Mustang forum, so we're biased

The old TFATF eclipse had potential, after that it was all downhill imho.

But you will be more happy in a Mustang for sure. It cruises better, it accelerates better and it puts a bigger smile on your face. Plus people still look at it, and that's after 3 years of being in production!

First off that Eclipse looks so ugly,

My other advice get the GT, don't do what I did and get a V6 because now I'm craving more power, if you need to save up a little longer it will be so well worth it.
