Ha Ha.. I did the same thing a year ago! Was thinking about asking if it worked..but didn't get around to it. I didn't notice any difference.. but my filter did get dirty around the tube bringing the "cold" air. I personally don't think it's a bad idea as it is bringing in colder air..
