Default Monster Tach

Has anyone figured out a good place to mount a Monster Tach? I ordered one but now I'm looking for ideas on where to put the thing....

Hmmmm, never would have even considered putting one in. Could be very interesting! If you figure it out post some pics! Love the color of your car btw!

if you dont have a pillar pod, or any intentions of installing one, then i would say right there next to/on the A-frame.. if you do, then i would say the only other real spot is in the middle or on the cruve downwards where the dash dips..

either way, post pics.. i love havin those tachs.. but i can fit it into my budget right now..

other than that.. you could just mount a shift light and use your OE tach.. which is what i will probably end up doing.. which one did you buy?.. do you have the site?

I'm probably not going with a pillar so I was thinking about that corner of the dash. When I actually get it in my hand I'm also going to see if it will just fit in the hole where the stock tach is. Not sure if it'll clear the steering column or not though. I got one with a shift light which I'm planning on putting in my right vent.

I actually got it from Amazon. They had the best deal I could find on it and I get free shipping from them so it worked out well that way.

Monster tachs[:'(].....sorry...........why is the stock tach w/ a shift light not an option? Mount the light into your 12v outlet spot and it will look clean as apposed to that rediculous monster tach. Monster tachs + S197 Mustangs dont mix.....just my .02

Get a 5" hole saw and cut the stock
tach out and install it there.
Or outside on the hood?

Or behind you on the parcel shelf facing forward
so you can see it in the rear view mirror?

Have one mounted right in middle on top of dash. It's at the highest point of the ridiculous 4 inch cowl, so no vision loss or at least no worse than before. Car's had so many holes drilled into interior andrear interior is gutted, sowill never win best looking car contest...maybe worst.

see.. heres where the mustang community is wrong..
Monster tachs + S197 Mustangs dont mix.....just my .02

.... you ment to say, most tachs + hondas dont mix.. a mustang is freakin muscle car.. how does that not mix!??!... it may not look good to some.. but those ppl should be driving a lexus, or a audi.. come on.. you have to be kidding me.. yes there are some ways that it could look ugly, but if you do it right.. it screams muscle/race car when you look inside the car..

go for it man.. as far as mounting it where the OE tach is.. i wouldnt.. theres dash lights there and if they came on, you wouldnt even know it.. i saw in the corner, if that doesnt work, then in the center like forensicsteve.. (BADASS CAR BTW!!!!)
