So some people would rather spend the money than just make them themselves? Thats 5 gallons of gas right there. lol
Not me Kid, I'm gonna do what you did...hell, if it looks bad I can just buy a shorty. Ford has ALWAYS put such HUGE antennas on the mustangs, I dont get it!

Anyhow, Gotta grab the dremel and the Krylon! Holla!

It's soooo much easier to just click on it on ebay though...

Like I said in previous posts. It's not the same. The AM antenna is smooth. The stock antenna has a pattern to it. Even when you paint it black, you can still see the pattern. I personally prefer the smooth look of the AM one, and that's why 3 of our cars and 2 of my Dad's have them.

It takes 15 minutes at the most. Can't be much easier than that

I understand the swirl pattern part Darkfiregt. But spending $20+ on something you can basically do with stuff you already have lieing around the house to me is worth it.

If the pattern doesn't bother you, yeah, I don't see any reason not to do it yourself.

Actually, Ford has smooth ones. You just have to find which vehicle has it lol

I ordered my 8" from American Muscle about 2 weeks ago. I checked my tracking number online yesterday, and it shows it was delivered on the 3rd. Today is the 8th and I haven't received it yet. I'm pretty pissed.
You didn't happen to order it with something else, dit you? I ordered mine with lugnuts, the lugnuts showed up but the antenna didn't. I emailed them and they apologized and sent out the antenna that day.
