Cool factor=10
Still have to put the keys in=1
Did you want your car to have zero security then? Oh, and I don't know if you've tried, but trying to steer without a key in the hole is, let's say, challenging

If you want an intelligent button operated keyless ignition system I'm sure mercedes or BMW would love to sell you one for about $2k

What is the point of a start button when you still need a key to start the car?
This a just a really silly gimmick.

So I take it that it is still possible to turn the car on using the key?

Yes and you have to turn the key 3/4 way before you can press the button to start the car.
Or just turn the key all the way.

This is all about cool factor. Does the s2000 version illuminate as well?

Aww crap, I just realized that this thing is supposed to glow red...mine does not, phone calls here I come

Also, you are supposed to remove the ignition wire from the harness so that the car cannot be started by the key still, but I left mine in so it can be started either way.

IF you have the ford button, I believe it does not light up. The S2000 button does light up. You have to make sure you connect the ground wire otherwise it will not light.
