Tires to fill wheel well - Any advice?

235/55-18? That's an odd size, and I would avoid running a 235 tire on a 9" rim. If you're going through the trouble of changing everything I would go wider.

So there isn't really a tire option to fill the wheel well?

the problem I see when I look at cars that are lowered is that the stance doesn't look aggressive with smaller wheels... it looks like it has 1000 lbs. of weight added to the car. and it's sagging.. [&:]
When I see a car thats lowered with 19 or 20" wheels on it then it has a solid, tough look to it IMO...
both stowestang and the other red on above seem to have a larger wheel then 18" mounted and they fill the wells nicely. all your doing in going to the 18's your talking of is making the rim larger and the tire sidewall shorter. Do you understand how to decifer the numbers on the side of the tire..??

Can I get a taller sidewall on the 18"? The roads in New England will kill me if I get 20" rims. I need some meat on the tires.

you can run the same size as drbobvs is running that has a nice look to it and its a tire thats got some good meat on the sidewall.. His car to me actually has the appearance of having a larger rim then an 18. look at his car then the one above it with the 20's and the difference seems to primarily be in the sidewall height of the two.. the one has a very low profile 20 (rough ride) and the other has a taller sideall 18 (much more compliant) here is a link to some tires of that size at the tire rack.. I hope the link will take you right there.. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Compar...p;x=53&y=6
