Default Tire Recommendations

Hey guys and gals....

Recently I purchased some 18x9 Deep Dish Rims... and now I need some tires to get this show on the road!

I bought them at a good rate, and saved some money in doing so, but i'm still on a tight budget. In fact the only tires that seem to fit are Kuhmo Ecsta ASX's from America's Tire Co (discount tire). At $135 each for 255/45 R18, they seem a little cheap in comparison to the others offered on that website. I was wondering if anyone might just happen to run the same/similar setup I'm looking for and has used these tires.

I'd also love to hear any other recommendations for tires within the $150 ea. range. Thanks again!

The Kumho Ecsta are pretty good tires. I'd reccommend them.

Depending on your driving style, Tirerack offers a great deal on the BFG KDWS's which come stock on a lot of the Stangs. Check them out. I recall my stock 235/50/18's going for something like $79 each. I put 13,000 miles on them before putting new, widerwheels and tires on. They were decent... Not great, but decent. If I was on a budget that's the way I'd go. Check the specs on Tirerack. I'm pretty sure they come in 255's

yeah... i've been looking around on places like tirerack... but i figured by the time I pay for shipping and mounting/balancing... i'll be paying the same as if I went to a local tire shop - and if I ever had a problem that shop would be there for me to confront.

keep those comments going though!

thanks for the info so far
