05 GT/V6 vs. 04 Roush
My 00 Jeep TJ is getting to be an impractical DD due to various mods...
The 05 makeover is really sweet and it got me looking at mustangs again (guess that makes me a poser...
) The last GT I drove was back in '88 and man did I like the way it pushed you into the seat when you punched it!
I've been doing research here and on some other forums (didn't want to shoot off my keyboard b4 doing some research) and was wondering if I can get a killer Roush (Stage 2) for around what the GT is costing (within 5k-7k) should I go for it? It would seem like I would be getting a hek of a lot of car at that!
Thanks guys, great site and very informative!

A Stage 2 Roush is just a body kit, wheels, intake, and side exhaust. It is good for high 13s if you are good to low 14s just like a 99-04 GT. It is definitely faster than a '05 V6 which runs high 14s, low 15s with a manual. The '05 GT is a little bit quicker but you will pay more and they are probably harder to find than a one year old Roush. You can pick up a fully loaded '03-'04 stage 2 for 23 to 25K. The '05 GT will cost about 30k loaded.
Thanks folks!
I was interested in the stage 2 b/c I thought they also had an upgraded suspension package(maybe I read it wrong) but I can probably buy the suspension from them directly I'll bet. I was gonna shine the stage 1 as it LL pretty much aesthetic stuff and the stage 3 while killer is a bit out of my league $$$wise. If the new stage 1 is going for 42K I think I saw somewhere I can't imagine what the others would cost for 05!
"for 5-7k more than a gt i would go with a gt with a blower, 3.73 gears and tires" Now there's something to think about!
Thanks for the numbers too 757gt...
