RE: ford racing cold air intake
There are only a couple of intakes out there that don't need a tune, specifically i think K&Nhas one of them. Some advertise as "no tune needed", unfortunately it's not usually a true/safe statement.

Like the others said, it'll fit right into the stock inlet tube, you will definitely need a tune, otherwise the engine will run lean. As for getting a Ford Racing tune, called "Pro Cal" tune, I'm not sure if they sell those seperately. I've only seen those sold with the CAI you bought, or part of their "Power Pack". If you can buy it seperately, they will need info #'s off of your car's computer PCM module. That should also tell them your transmission type, and what gears you have in the rear, stock ones. If you did gears, they have to know to set the speedo right. Then you purchase it, it will come by mail to you in a week or two from Ford, then install the tune. It is a "canned" tune, the tune cannot be changed , unlike an SCT, Diablo, etc. The Ford tuner has 3 LEDS, to let you know what the tuning status is, and a switch thats lets you upload the tune, or re-flash back to stock.
So, keep in mind, if you ever want to change your rear gears, you have to flash back to stock, put your stock airbox on, send out the tuner box to Ford, tell them what gear ratio you're getting, they will program it accordingly. Then after they send the tune back to you, then you can re flash with the new tune, put your CAI back on, and you're set.
