Default Sick Stang?

I just bought an 08 gt 5 speed. It has throttle lag really bad. It wont do any burn outs even when traction control is off? What do I need to wake this thing up? My 93 will burn out all day long even when I am not even trying. I am very disapointed in my08. Please Help.

ca + tune. should solve your problem, i thouhgt my car sucked when i test drove it and almost didnt buy it, now that i have all the bolts on you can do its a beast and I wouldnt trade it for nada. I too had a 5.0 and thought man this car is crap compared to my old one, untill i raced one and it was over before it even started and I wasnt even trying [8D]

i dont know if your car is effed up or what. wont do a burnout??? that dosent seem right to me. i laid a fat chunk of rubber down as i was leaving the dealer per the salesmans request in bone stock trim.

i will admit, the cai and tune package really wakes these cars up, but if your stang is as slow as you say it is, then you should return it and get a different one.

sorry for a double post, but i just had to add... it doesnt make sense that your '93 will roast the tires all day, when your 08 has significantly more power and better gears out back.

and plus, traction is your friend if you want fast ET's at the drag strip. dont forget that... maybe no burnouts isnt all that bad.

You should not have a problem doing a burnout in a gt. You also should not have to spend $600 on a 300 hp car to make it peppy enough to spin the tires. How many miles does it have?

I adgree Mrsandman. If it wasn't for that stupied "drive by wire" fuel pedal I think the car would be ok. The computer seems to be trying to limit how much fuel is being applied at low speeds. From 40mph and on when I give it full throttle it seems to be going wot. My wife has an 08 v6 and it doesn't havethrottle lag. Maybe I have a lemon?

i drove a 2004 GT for 4 years and just switched to a 2008 GT/CS and the throttle lag is horrible!! But the car is def. quicker then the New Edge and the 5.0

something might be wrong. from the 1-2 shift, i can break the tires loose easily.

if you can't do a burnout with the TCS off then: [&:]

1.You either can't drive (sorry not tryin to be mean lol) or don't know how to do a burnout.
2. You really bought an 08 v6Mustang with GT symbols
3. Your car is just effed up
