does it improve acceleration(driving skills included) by turning off the tcs via the button?

is it that hard to push a button
Not at all... I figured while I was talking to Brenspeed about what they can or can't control by a tune I'd ask... I'd personally prefer not to ever have to push the button and just have it permanently off... I don't use it... I don't like it... Different people drive different ways and like their cars to behave differently....

Just turn it off every time you get in the car!

This makes me wonder, though...

I wonder if my gas mileage would be different for driving with the TCS on/off. I mean, in theory, the TCS is supposed to modulate the amount of power to the rear wheels when it feels it's losing traction...If it's on all the time, it could be cutting power to the rear tires (again, in theory!).

Now, if I turn it off and drive with the TCS off, am I going to get worse gas mileage? Hmmm...That's an impromptu study I may have to partake in for 2 tanks of gas, one driving normal everyday driving with the TCS on, and then the second tank normal everyday driving with the TCS off...I wonder if it makes a difference?

The TCS does not work like this at all.....in only engages when excessive spin is detected....so your gas milage is never affected by the TCS

We should all learn to drive without the training wheels. Turn the TCS off unless you're in traffic in sucky weather. I've yet to put my SUV into 4WD this winter despite the snow and ice. Use it when you feel you need it.
I dont think he was asking how to drive without training wheels just how to disable his TCS. Some of us live in climates where TCS is not really needed and it is more of a pain in the a** then it is worth. Have you ever lined up for a run and forgot to turn it off?[:@]
