I've read every thread about exhaust systems I could find over the last several days but none of them address my question. Has anybody installed a shorty header with the stock exhaust and kept the cats? I like the sound of the exhaust on my car ('06 roush) and I don't want to change it, but I think it might sound better with the addition of shorty headers.

I believe the exhaust thread has some sound clips with shorties and various exhaust combinations. As far as performance gains, don't count on much.There are a lot of threads on the forum discussing this. Use the Search feature.

I have shorty header and wish they were long tubes. I do have various clips with different axel back set-ups.
