Default Why the s197

What made you choose your car? Ill go first.

After being a die hard chevy fan, I guess I needed a change. I mean I have had many corvettes, trans ams and camaro's. I hate to admit it, but at one time I was a mustang hater[&:] I was young and retarded back then haha. Anywho, when the terminator's came out, i really started having a change of heart for the mustangs. But as soon as I saw a s197 I was in love. Ford did good when they made these cars! I was going to order a torch red one, but went with a cadillac cts instead because my dad thought that would be better for me. Well wasnt happy so I guess back in January I started JUST looking. I wasnt going to buy yet. And there she was. Too good of a deal to pass up, and just what I wanted! So yeah that is my story whats yours?

Because it was like Ford Turned back the hands of time, and reinvented something that's been there for 40+ years

I started with a Redfire GT in 2007 because I loved the looks and it's the best package out there for the price. It's a legend, like a piece of american culture. I really didn't care for the last generation mustangs, but the S197 sold me for sure

Personally I don't care for anything Chevy and would never buy foreign.

Last month I found a GT500 at MSRP and jumped on it. I was at a decision point on whether or not to SC the GT and decided before I drop all that coin I would move to the car I really dreamed of in the first place. Now if it would just stop snowing I could actually drive it!

I fell in love the day I saw the 2 prototypes in all the mags. And look at what it hasbecome since I brought her home. It has been the most fun with a car to date, at least for me.

Because I was ready for another muscle car, and was tired of my 02 T/A being a POS at only 35K miles.[&:]

I had the same problem with my Ls1's. They get a few miles on them, and ACT like they have well over 100K miles. My trans am and camaro both were POS. Love that motor though!

I had been thinking about a new car. My 10 year old 250,000 mile Tbird was getting tired.
Was not aware of the Mustang body change until I seen a commercial for it. (the convertible in winter, guy frozen at the red light, pulled over by cop one.) At that point I knew I had to have one.

When I was younger I always thought it would be cool if the car makers would come out with the old car body styles with todays technology, and Ford pretty much did it for me. Love at 1st site for my 1st time ever, lol.
