Supercharger choice.....HELP
For that kind of money, stay AWAY from Roush. Also stay away from Magnacharger. They are both roots, and roots < twinscrew.
You can get a real nice Stage 2 Brenspeed Saleen for $5600. Install (if you drive there) will run you another $650 (they pay for a hotel room night).
You can also get a KB or a Whipple for that money.
Any of those three will be great for a DD car.
Centrifugals are also an option, depending on where in the RPM range you want the power.
Just do yourself a favor and get anything BUT a roots!

I tend to agree with exx1976 and any of the TS S/C's will be great for a DD as well as any centri too! Just depends on personal taste/preference and what you want to do with the car in the future! JMO J

Forget that Roush supercharger. You will still get beat at the track all the time with one of those.
Buy a twin-screw like a Kenne Bell or a Whipple and she will admire your manhood and stop looking at those other Mustangs with awe.

Twinscrew FTW (HO Whipple IMO and in my future).
Centrifugals have there place, however if you're like me, you want the immediate torque/power without the turbo like lag...Centrifugals can also rob you of a fewhorses at lower rpms, just in case you started thinking about going that route...

If you want to keep a warranty on your car, go Roush. If you don't care aboutor need the warranty, then the others would be fine. Remember, the Roush hp is about all the bottom end of the engine can handle. If you want over 500hp you might as well go thru the whole engine.

And then, when the warranty is up, you actually have an upgrade path (tune, injectors, smaller pulley, etc etc)..
With the Roush, then the warranty is up, you have a $5600 boat anchor bolted on top of your engine..

Oh well.
To the OP - If you aren't worried about warranty, then this is the best deal you're going to find on an intercooled twinscrew supercharger.
If you ARE worried about warranty, then you'll need to have it installed by a speedlab, or by Saleen themselves, in which case they might not let you "BYO"..
