And defeat the whole purpose of having the brace. [:'(]
It really needs to be bolted firmly to the shock tower,
not spaced up on nuts to provide any worthwhilebracing.

it won't be any weaker between two nuts then it would be mounted next to the strut tower. The bottom nut will tighten to the strut tower thus making it no weaker for support. In a perfect world thebrace would actually use all four bolts to secure it squarely above the strut tower and the bolt would go through the actually tubing not a welded on tab. That piece is more for show and not go. He has asked for suggestions and I offered one. [sm=icon_cheers.gif]

Id give them a call up and double check what clearances they have for their strut braces.
I haven't seen the engine cover but could u file the bottom down for that extra clearence ? .... something to look into
id personally just buy a better quality piece

If it had mounting holes instead of mounting slots, it might work
but it would look jerry rigged and that throws the appearance
part of it out the window also.
So double negative on that strut tower brace. [:'(]
