Default Is it okay to load a tune if...

you don't have the gear ratio/correct tire sizes for it yet? Because I plan to have my gears and my new tires put on in mid april, so would it be okay to drive around with the gear ratio/tire size wrong? Would it mess up anything besides the speedo, of course?

Your odometer could be off as well. Essentialy you would be putting too many or not enough miles on the car. Essentialy you could be comminting odometer fraud.[8D]

Eh, not a problem since I don't plan on getting rid of this car...

and I mean that! haha

But seriously, other than that, I won't cause any mechanical problems, right?

The speedo, including the odometer and the info center thing (wtf is that called? Damn, it sucks getting old...). It shouldn't have any detrimental effect onanything. And as far as odometer fraud, I won't tell if you won't. I just would be quick to get the tuner and set everything right.

That's stuff you change with a tuner. It's not part of your tune. It's an optional parameter.

+1.....if you are an auto then having the improper gear ratio may cause some problems. If you a manual you can get by but the speedo will be off quite a bit at 60 compared to what its off at 15

+2 Thats an optional adjustale parameter. If you have an SCT when you go under custom (to access your tuners tunes) just go into the adjust options section and adjust and save. Then whenever you load that tune use the saved options. You will need tire rpm and current gear ratio.
