'08 Mustang CAN NOT be tuned!?!?
I would contact a Ford Motorsports Dealer. They installupgrades and build mustangs( install turbo's, SC's, build motors, ect) and cover it under warranty! We have one in Hampton, VA, Wynn Ford757-838-3673. That's the dealership number where they sell the modded cars and will probably know how to help you. Good Luck!
Just got a SCT X3 from Brenspeed. The X3 reads my strategy and tunes my car so I guess the problem was with the XCal2. That's odd, because the XCal2 worked on a different car but not mine. Maybe the new '08 GT computer is picky, maybe the XCal2 was funky. Either way, it now works and Brenspeed has excellent customer service.

How the car feel now?
How the car feel now?
The 08 Module and software is completely different than the 05-07. So I have been told by the Steeda folks as well as The Ford Motor Sports guys at my Ford dealer where I got my Steeda from.
For future MOD's keep in mind thereare also other subtle physical differences as well. Like some of the hose/electrical connections on the manifold and upper end. I found out because I wanted to put a Whipple HO SC on my 08 and the 07 would not work out of the box. They said they could make it work (modifications). So I am waiting to make sure they have it all worked out with a true 08 Whipple HO SC. I think it is completed but have to check again!

Yes, unless Ford's equipment can read the ODB-II port. Then it's a tuner issue. If that's the case then I'll just have to wait and hope someone makes a tuner that works with whatever Ford has done to the new Mustangs.

Yeah.. this has nothing to do with tuning or tuners. The OBD port is broke, or the computer is defective. Either way, its a broken part and needs to be replaced.
You do realize its a law that cars have ODB II ports, right? Thats why all new cars have them. Its focused on emissions testing and reporting. If yours is broke then it has to be replaced because when your emissions testing time comes, they can't test with an OBD II port.
Your dealer will have to fix this or put you in a new car.

Ford hasn't done anything. You have a grounded or defective wire in your obd port, that's all. I call BS on the person having to trade there car in because Ford couldn't get the obd port to work. Point me to whoever said that crap.

My ODB-II port seems to be fine, the X3 that Brenspeed sent me works fine. The X2 worked fine on a different car but not on my car, so I don't think the X2 was defective either. I suspect some sort of compatibility issue with the X2 and newer '08 Gt's. All I know is that I now have a working tuner with the X3.
Brenspeed told me about the guy with the ODB-II port that could not be tuned.
