Biggest meats on 18's?

RE: Biggest meats on 18's?
I wouldnt go with a Nitto 305/45/18 because it is just not wide enough and is taller than stock. This will also reduce your rear gear ratio.
If you have a 10" rim go with 305/35/18 it has a much wider tread and is only 26.4" tall.
I am waiting on the new Mickey Thompson ET Street drag radials in the 305/35/18. They are being released any day now. They also are making a 305/45/18 if that is the size you want.
Those tires what will get you some real traction. In my opinion, Nittos don't hook up as well as the M/T drag radials due to harder compound.
The M/T drag radials are going to wear out way faster though.

Uhhh...what?
A 305/45/18 and a 305/35/18 are the same width of tire.
The305 indicates that thetire is 305 millimeters across from the widest point of its outer sidewall to the widest point of its inner sidewall when mounted and measured on a specified width wheel.

The 45s run skinny and tall.
The 35s are an inch wider and and2.0 inches shorter

He's going to have a blower. A taller tire is not an issue with that much power and the extra sidewall will help with launching. If you can launch better because of the extra sidewall, you'll overcome any size difference. Heck, i'm running over 28" with stock 3.31's! If you want a drag radial, go with the 305/45/18. If you want a regular street tire, go with 295/45/18.
