Default Help With Brakes

Has anyone done the GT500 brake upgrade on their GT. Did you get the whole kit from Ford racing or pieced it together from parts? Which parts do we need to make the conversion? Calipers of course and rotors, but what els?

Can't help with you question... but I would check out the Baer System...http://www.baer.com/

They are the OEM For Shelby.... I would imagine pricing would be the same unless you are getting hooked up.

Pricing is not the same, I won't say the cost, but GT500 brembos are a quarter of the price of all other brakes. The problem is you need to run weird wheel to make them work.

I haven't done the conversion but here's a link to it:

and I assume you could get away with the rotors and calipers only but then the rest of the stuff, such as steel brake lines, is recommended because how you gonna have a 4 piston caliper with rubber brake lines?
