need help deciding on a gt

RE: need help deciding on a gt
If you can afford to make the change go for it.
You won't be regretting having the extra 2 cylinders. Then if you choose to you can mod the hell out of it in the future.

I don't care to have a GT. There is a cost vs benefit in everything. To me the extra power doesn't give me the extra benefit compared to the cost of: extra for the GT, Extra $$ for insurance, Extra for gas...... Plus How often do you go 100MPH legally???

Honestly, I think that supercharging the V6 will ultimately be FAR cheaper than trading it in and getting a GT. V6's really depreciate off the lot. That being said, maybe going private party with both the V6 sale and the GT purchase would make it more financially viable.
One thing you should consider though is if the power you would get from supercharging your V6 is all you will ever want. Because if you'll ever want more, then it will be FAR more expensive down the road to undo all the change you did to your V6 to make it sellable and then get a GT and THEN do the necessary performance mods.

RE: need help deciding on a gt
I had a 2006 pony package V6 and it was a blast. Great pick up and fun to drive. I got on the 4.0 collective and got the itch to starting modding to hell and back, and was close to buying a Xcharger and then a Vortech....but decided to go and get a GT.
My main reason was mine Mustang is a DD that my company pays expenses for.
So I went ahead and got a GT. The GT is Serious when you hit the pedal, your in a rocket compared to the V6.
Milage is worst but I'm getting about 22 MPG. The V6 was about 25 to 26.
It rides better and is heavier. If you don't have the V6 Pony Pakage it will make another big difference in the ride.
I miss my V6 less and less everyday. But it was fun and another Great Mustang.
Go the super charge route and your looking at 5,000 to 6,000 at a minumum because your going to do other Mods, like the DS.
But you will have one of a kind and a really nice car.
I sold my V6 for 16,000 and got the GT for 24 + change. Both were loaded and I got great deals on both.
You don't need to jump into it, look for a buyer for the V6 and start working the dealer.
Good luck and enjoy, you cannot make a wrong decision.

haha well im sure ill get at least 16k for it it only has 8k miles on itand if i have to ill sell it myself. I currently have no mods done because i have been debating to get a gt so i dont want to waste money. Also im not trying to get a brand new gt... i just want one with lower miles on it.
