Varies by state, do a search. In MD, it is 35% so that's what I went with. I didn't really want to be hassled by the cops and with a dark car and dark interior, it looks much darker than that.

Given the option of not being hassled, I would have gone with 20%.

 

good tint places dont care what the laws are at all....they will do whatever you ask

35% is the legal limit in IN

NY tint law is 70% which is all but not there. No matter what you'll be breaking the law so go for what you want. At 35% they might hassle you less than 20% but either way they're both illegal.

Wisconsin law is 35 in the back and 50 in the front. I never had a problem with my srt. I was pulled over a few times for my exhaust but they never said anything about my tint. I had 20 all the way around. If I were you I would wait until it gets warmer. Also, if you dont want to go to dark but want a nice looking tint go with 35 it will look darker just because less light is coming in because your windows are so small in teh back.

 

20% all around.... never had a problem with cops.

 

The cops here will rip your tint OFF if it is too dark
