Here in Kentucky I believe the law is 35% on front, 25% on back windows. I went 15% all the way around, and have never been hassled about it, I've never heard of anyone around here getting tickets for tint. Of course, I'd say in metropolitan areas they'd be much more strict.

I understand if they write you a ticket for it being too dark, whatever, fair enough, but to just rip off or scratch your tint or whatever is ridiculous. I think I would have a definite problem with any cop who tried to pull that because my tint wasn't the legal %.

I had 20 all the way around. If I were you I would wait until it gets warmer. Also, if you dont want to go to dark but want a nice looking tint go with 35 it will look darker just because less light is coming in because your windows are so small in teh back.

i live in iowa and we aren't really allowed to do anything less than factory on the front but i just had my rears done to 5 % they don't care about the back ones i could spray paint them if i really wanted to. i am actually surprised as to how well i can see out the back ones at 5 % but i love it

thanks for the info guys i think im goin to do 20% all the way around or 20% in the back and 35% in the front so it does seem to dark
