The tint was from a tinting company called Silhouette Vision Plus for SP, PGC, and PBC series film.

I hope that this helps.

My inside channel has no felt backing, and my new window tint is already destroyed after just a couple up and downs of the window -- so it is REALLY important to choose your tint AND your tint shop carefully.

Another thread here said that some shops are actually installing the inside felt strip during the job -- when I told my tint guy this he looked at me like I was from Mars. Does anyone know where I can get this felt strip and put it on myself? I've searched online, but I'm not getting anywhere, I don't know what it would be called or where it would be sold. All help appreciated!

It's called window felt. It's available from CR Lawrence (http://www.crlaurence.com) or Pacific States Felt Manufacturing company (http://www.pacificstatesfelt.com). The problem is they typically sell it in large rolls and have a minimum order. Most reputable tiniting shops should have this or a similar product available.

I you have not tinted your windows yet, make sure the shop you are using will install the window felt on the inside of the window.

I wish I would have read this before, because my front windows have nice, perfectly symmetrical cuts in the tint. The guys who did it, I told them that apparently Mustangs have this problem (2005) and a felt needs to be installed. He said they will redo the front windows.

My dealer tinted mine when they got it, and I don't have any scratches. So they've essentially warranted my tint for 3 years. But now you've got me wondering - I'll have to look down at the inside strip when I get home to see if they added the felt.

I would definitly recommend Ziebart with their lifetime warranty. Speaking of, time to go get the truck bed patched up
