Default ? about Bullit Wheels

I am wanting to purchase some DD 18x9 black bullits. I know there are several sites that sell these and I am just wondering about the quality of the wheels from the different sellers? I have heard good things about the wheels from American Muscle, which I have been looking at, but I have also heard of several quality issues with them also (clear coat flaking?)? So, if you've bought aftermarket bullits, what kind did you buy and would you recomend them? How well are they holding up and any comments on the quality would be appreciated. I am wanting to make this purchase soon and I just want to make sure that I make the right choice of vendor or manufatuer.

Thanks

Default RE: ? about Bullit Wheels

I have the 18X9 DD Black Bullits from AM. They look awesome and quality is good, no flaking or chiping in 2000 miles. Don't drive it in bad weather though. If you are into looks and the bullits are your thing, then they are a good choice.

On the downside, the brake calipers are VERY close to the spokes, just a few mm. But I've had the car on a couple autox courses and there are no rubbing problems. Also, they are a bit heavier than the stock wheels.

I have three sets of rims - these are my "looks" rims. I have a set of 5Zigens (17lbs) for my "performance" wheels.
