Front plate holder.....what to do???/
Hey guys, i picked up my mustang last month out of state.......dont ask why. Anyway, they had put on a front plate holder that attached via 2 large screws. So my option is to put on some type of personal plate (like "California Special") or take it off and look at 2 holes in my front bumper. What have you guys done about this? Any ideas appreciated.

Here's an option.
I too had this issue, as I bought my '06 used from Virginia, which uses front plates. Since I live in North Carolina, I didn't need a front plate. I saw the link above and decided to go that route, but didn't want to pay the excessive price of the ones in the link. So I devised a cheaper alternative.
Go to your local hardware store, Lowes, Home Depot, etc. Look in the fastener section and you should find little plastic covers that are used to hide the screws on furniture. They often come with office furniture you assemble yourself. The color doesn't matter. Then buy you some touch up paint and paint them to match your car. You can get the exact same bottle of touch up paint at Advance/Auto Zone as you can find at the dealership for about half the cost. Make sure to get a bottle of clear as well.
Then paint the plastic covers and aloow the to cure overnight. You will probably need some adhesive to make them stay, so I used some "Shoe-Goo", which is available at Wal-Mart or most shoe stores. A little dab in the hole is all that's needed, then press the cover into place.
Once you're done, you'll come in a little cheaper than the plugs in the link I gave you. Plus you'll have touch up paint that you can use later on as well. I'll take some pictures ofmine laterthis afternoon so you can see the result.
