AVIC-D3 worth the switch?
Right nowI have the Shaker 500 with the optional navigation systemand Siruis radio but I've seen people with the AVIC-D3 system and like it. I'd like to have the dvd player and a rear backup camera plus it just looks cooler. So I've been thinking about making the switch but was wondering if the Sirius will hook up to it and if the antenna from my stock navigation system will hook right in or will I need to replace the antenna on both the navi and satellite radio. I've seen stuff about needing to get something else to use the Siruis on the new unit. Also, will I lose my 6 disc changer and new to buy a seperate one? Basically would it be worth switchingout my stock navi system for an aftermarket one or will I just be spending money to put back the options thatI paid for?
Its a lot nicer but you will lose the 6 disc. Which doesnt matter because you can burn a dvd MP3 CD and hold over 1000 songs.
You cant use the stock antenne but that doesnt matter because it comes with a new antenna.
you can hook sirius up with the optional module

So what will happen with the Sirius antenna on the trunk? Where is the stock navi antenna at anyways? Also does the navi disc have it's own slot or will I need to switch between that and the cds? I like being able to just leave the navigation disc in the stock one all the time for on the fly use.
