Put 20" black bullets on
So I had the ford dealer put my rims on my car on Friday. The wheels are 20x8.5 and 20x10 and the tiresare Falken FK452 255/35/20 and 285/30/20. After I left the dealer I hit the thruway and found that my car shacks very badly at 70 or high, this occursonly when I am off the throttle! The dealer told me that the rims and tires balance out perfectly. Now I amtryign to figure out what could be wrong. Can anyone give me some suggestions?? Thanks
yeah check to see if they are balanced. oh and with 20's you feel every little bump and cracks in the road. but yeah sounds like a balance issue. knowing the dealership they charged you for the balancing and probably didnt do it very well.
mine rattled, but I think it started at about 50 mph and that was when both on and off the gas.
Your's might not be as bad, as mine were WAY unbalanced.
talk to the guy who handled your new wheels. Let him know that you will be going to a tire shop to have the balance (and tire pressure) checked and you will be sending the bill to the dealership if the balance is off!
