Default RE: Paint Pricing?

I went to the dealer today and the guy told me those prices were for GT/CS bumpers bought in bulk or some crap. Only 5 or so dealers in the country can sell the bumpers for that price. He wanted like $590 for the unpainted bumper, so I didn't buy it.

I don't know what body kit to go with now. ;/

Those prices sound shady. MSRP on a cali ear is close to $400 unpainted. I know this because I recently needed one to repair mine from an accident.

$590??
So what happened to the $291,314 unpainted bumper prices?

Those prices are only where the dealer buys the bumpers in bulk or something like that. He kept calling them "crashsomething" but said it doesn't mean they were in crashes or messed up.

I guess I should've told the first guy that I would take those prices.

The best price I see now is $360 + $20 for shipping for the front bumper unpainted (online).

my gt/cs bumper cost me $250 to get painted at a local body shop that does nice work in my area. They charged me $250 out the door to paint it. That was without installation (very easy to install). So if they're quoting you under $600 for paint and bumper that sounds like a pretty good deal to me. $50 cheaper than I paid and I got the bumper for like $350 with employee pricing through a relative.
