Air Condition Delete
I believe that leonardracing had a shorter serpentine belt available. I just checked his site and it seems to be down. If I recall correctly he uses it when at the strip to reduce parasitic loss and free up power to the ground. He then swaps it out after racing. I think he mentioned that it is a real simple procedure.
even further:
easy = spare, rear seat, extra fuel, windshield washer fluid...
mildly radical= center console, passenger seat, lightweight radiator support....
a little too far? =carpeting, radio and speakers,windows,glovebox/manuals, visors! antenna delete! mirrors!
GOOB/Going to the track andEVERYTHING MUST GO!!!!!

If I had a list of top ten worst mods, this would be #1. No gain of any sort and you'll kill the resale/trade-in value (the AC system will eventually fail fromnon-use due to seals drying out and internal corrosion - then you're looking at probably $700+ to restore it). I can think of a lot of other ways to get the engine to spin upfaster, plus when the compressor is not on, there is virtually no drag. Plus don't forget you probably use the front defrost function which would be disabled without the compressor. I'll bet driving in the rain in the middle of summer would pose some problems - think about it.
All pain, no gain.
...actually, if you were a really hard-core track-only racer, the only gain would come from weight savings by completely removing the AC system.

You have to remember the evaporator core also runs in front/behind the Radiator. Non-use of the A/c system could lead to corrosion that eats throught the core and into the radiator.
