20's or not 20's? That is the question.

Ditch the ghetto wheels and get something that will help with traction if you are going S/C soon. If what matters most to you is having big blingy wheels then keep the 20s.
The big rim fad will go away eventually. The Mustangs will still be around.

Wow, this is refreshing! I' agree with you on switching the wheels. Its my opinion of course, and we all have them, but I don't like "20's" on a Mustang, to me its stuff that belongs on SUV's in a rap video. Not my taste at all. To me, they serve no purpose as far as performance is concerned (heavier, loss of ride quality) and to me, they look way too big for the car, looks out of place. I know its the "in", cool thing now, but to me the S197 is retro, so 20's seem to kill the whole retro look. I actually took off the 18" aluminum Bullitts there were stock on my car, and bought second hand stock 17" Bullitts, looks better to me now!!! The car almost feels to be a little quicker and more nimble! To me, if someone wanted 24's and could fit them on a Mustang, God bless 'em, they could do what they want, but I agree with you on downsizing, and we're probably in the minority on this one.

Lower your car first, then decide. You'll like it lowered with 20's.
I love the way mine looks! Saleen Suspension (lowered about 1.5 inch) with American Racing Rogues
