im looking for some scrape gaurds for the front bumper....im getting a cervini and i KNOW im going to have scraping problems, so i was hoping someone knew where i could get some protectors or gaurds for under the bumper? thanks

 

I was actually wondering the other day if someone made something like that as well. I just got my car back from the body shop and have already scraped the bottom front bumper a couple times. I can't pull into most parking lots without scraping it including the one where I work! You can't see it but it bugs me knowing that when I run my hand under it that I can feel the scrapes. Anyone else know anything about finding a guard or something that mounts under the bumper to help protect it?

I am in the process of fabricating a sort of skid plate for the front bumper for my Cervinis kit. I have scraped multiple times and I almost cry every time it happens...as soon as I get some time (in college right now) I will start making it and hopefully I can make a few or just give out the dimensions so people can make their own.

08Eleanor - What type of material are you using to fabricate it? I thought about doing the same thing but wasn't sure what would be the best material to use. I was kind of thinking a heavy duty rubber.

 

No rubber I think. I did one before with my father on his aston martin db9 and it was made out of aluminum. It looks great and you can't even see it from the front unless you lay under the bumper.

 

Well, definetly post a template when you get it finished. I am anxious to see it. I can't stand the sound of the bumper scraping pavement. It's like nails on a chalk board.
