I believe 18" is the sweet spot on these mustangs.
I concur.
For a Daily DriverI think 20's could be a drag.

i went from 17's to 20s with a 35 sidewall and im totally fine with it as a dd. i just try to swerve around the potholes. i dont think the ride difference is that great, ive felt weaker braking power more than anything with the 20s.

You HAVE to run a lower profile, there's no option there,
Yeh there is, I'm running a 40 series tire with my 20's, and it rides the same as it did with the 18's.It depends on whether you like the look of bigger rubber or not, but you definitely have options.

Maybe he just meant lower profile on 20s vs. 18s rather than just low profile (30-35) all together..

Is there a difference? Yes. Is it a BIG difference? IMO No. Do I wish I stayed with the 18's? NO. Would the difference in ride cause me to recommend someone else not going to 20's? No.

For me, and my particular setup I have noticed the handling is much better and the ride is firmer. Not harsh by any means.

I just switched from stock 18inch GEForce tires to 20inch Nitto 555's with Eibach pro kit. I concur with the quoted post. To me, the car is much more responsive due to more tire contact. The handling is much improved. A little harsher of a ride, but it is NOT bad. I drive 70 miles a day to and from Atlanta and I would not go back to 18's. People stop and stare at my new 20" Cobra R wheels. It is beautiful!
