just pratice on that 60 ft. thats all you have to worry about for now. You should aim for 2 flat but a 2.1 will not make it look like a 10 year old boy is driving (2.6 is pretty bad) however my avg 60 ft my first time was 2.4 cuz i just rev and dump the clutch while spinning everywhere.
Gene K, if your talking 4500 on street tires, ur crazy. If i just go a hair bit past 3,000 i can never hook up. but thats why im saving for some dr's. That and i would think ur cutting ur stock clutc like by like 75% by slipping ur clutc anywhere from 4500 to 6000. Also, thats just gotta equal something breaking.

Essentially its the slight feathering technique guys use with DR's. When I need a clutch I will replace it.
The 6000 rpm lauches are rare because the track will only hold it when the track is on and I line up behind a "track warmer". Last weekend my favorite track warmer was a testing IHRA ProStock Car. Nothing like a 822ci Montain Motor to puta little heat in the surface.
