Default HELP!!! - 07 NOT STARTING - BATTERY TESTED GOOD!

HEY GUYS...

so for the last 2 day now (this mornign and yesterday morning.) when i got to start my car, it will NOT even attempt to turn over.. the starter doesnt click, the engine doesnt do ****..

everything else electrical works tho?... so i went and got my jump box out of the garage and hooked it up.. started up just fine.. no hesitation..

so then i was like well maybe it was just bc i left my parking lamps on the night before last for (no joke) liek 5 -7 minutes while i got food..

so then i got to work (advance auto parts) which was about a 15-20 min. drive.. tested the battery when i got there.. and it tested good!?!?,,

so i was like.. it was just low.. and got recharged on the way over to work..

SO...

then this mornign.. same thing happens.. wouldnt turn over at all and the starter was making NO NOISES what so ever.. so i jumped it again with the box, and turned over just fine.. so i called a ASE certified guy that works with me, and he said he thinks the starter is acting up.. and then i talked to another guy that works there and he said that it sounds like the points on the solenoid (for the starter) are going out.. and thats why it works just fine when i give it the extra juice from the jump box..

so my questions, (besides, WTF IS GOING ON!??!?!) are .....

1) does anyone know if the solenoid for the starter are fender mounted or are they mounted on the starter?

2) and has anyone else had a similar problem?

I don't know if I'd be suspect of the starter right away.. What I'd do is to borrow that battery tester from work overnight so you can test the battery BEFORE you jump it. Let's face it, you're testing it after you've just driven to work, so it's going to have a charge on it from the alternator.

If you have the shaker 1k, a lot of guys have had problems with the amps staying powered on even when the car is shut off. Don't ask me, I ripped that crappy setup out 3 days after I bought the car.

Either way, you have a 2007, you SHOULD be able to just take it to the dealer and have it fixed under warranty. You don't drive THAT much, do you? I only have 16k on my '06..

have your charging system checked out...

i suspect you have a bad battery, but
we won't know for sure until your
alternator checks out good.

well i dought its the fuse.. since when i hooke up more power to it.. it works.. a fuse blown, would mean that there wouldnt be a complete circuit..

the relay may be a possibility.. ill look into it..

Check for current flow with the car off. You could have something pulling the battery down.
Shaker Stereo Amps (failure to switch off) have been the primary culprit in the past.
