Spare Tire

Spare Tire
I was just thinking.... I have 18's on my car now, I'm pretty sure the spare is a 17" rim, so wouldn't it be harmful to the car if I were to get a flat, I put on the 17" spare and drove it? I was told it could damage the suspension, I'm not totally sure though? If this is true I might as well just take the heavy spare out and replace it with some fix-a-flat and be done with it... any ideas?

RE: Spare Tire
1. The spare is stock height, which is much better than those little donuts some cars have for spares.
2. You're only going to be driving on it until you get the flat fixed.
3. While the fix-a-flat works for small holes...it won't fix a blowout. I carry both.

RE: Spare Tire
I made a point to keep the factory lug nuts and lock in my trunk. I have no idea if my tiny aftermarket lug nuts would work or not.
I also have a 2x4 pice of wood. I fear with my car being lowered, I won't be able to fit the jack under without rolling the rim onto some height.[&:]
