You will hear that the Hurst is notchy, and that's true. It also has the shortest throw.
But on a Bullit, to be kinda period, the hurst is the way to go.

I have the Hurst on my ride and I love it.
The MGW is smoother if that's what you're after.
If I went with that one, I still would have used the Hurst handle with the white ball.

I forgot... If you plan to drag race, the Hurst will not be user friendly with power shifts.
That's the only negative aspect I can think of, and in my case, I don't give a fuuk about that aspect.

Whoa!! I just checked the poll and it went from 33% hurst and 66% MGW to 25% hurst and 75% hurst when I checked MGW. lord, didn't notice that few polled.

I've had both Hurst and MGW and promised Georgethat I would extoll his shifters due to the fact they are soooo much betterthan everything else (rightnow).

However I am STILL not satisfied with my shifter action in the S197. I've put RP Synchromax in the transmission and it helped but it's still SEVERELY ratchety. I've had friends with tremec TKO's sit in my car and say wow but I'd really like something smooooooth. Everything else about this car is pretty refined EXCEPT the trans...

MGW is leaps and bounds better. Are you sure that the Hurst has a shorter throw than the MGW? The MGW shifter can reduce the shifts up to 50%. I don't think smooth is the right word for the MGW. I think the MGW is stiff, positive, and solid.

Forget those, go with the Roush, Its 55% shorter throw and you can use your factory handle if you want or any of the roush shifter handles they make.

Haven't tried the Roush but from looking at them they sit like a foot over the console. I like my shifterhandlesnot more than 6' or so over the console "and" a short throw.

I can shift my roush without moving my fore arm, just using my wrist, I have the roush with their white ball and its very good. https://mustangforums.com/albumtn.as...p724124074.jpg
